Really works here (A600-ACA630-A604+IndyECS). Slow, but nice to see workbench in 256cols First I didnt get pointer, but setting SoftSprite=Yes tooltype fixed this. And you need the latest (v1.10) indy firmware to get this working. I havent tried any P96 apps, but ShapeShifter - on IndyP96 screen- , but end with an error of lack of graphics mem. So it probably runs just a Workbench screen..
Anyway, Symplex is great achieving this, and especialy the beta IndyECS Shapeshifter Videodriver driver, which is much more useful, many thanks for all this.

Can someone try BOOM on an A600, would love to know if works in RTG mode or not and if it does run, how the speed compares to ADOOM running in 256 color direct chunky mode.

would love to try it but don't want to because no real way of backing up hd with out ripping system apart and dumping to peecee.. And just way to much for parallel to transfer everything.. Long weekend coming might do a back up then.
Or hehe Set up a old 40 meg scsi drive and make a light workbench to try out this and see.. hehe brain is tweaking now lol..Then i will boom doom it and see.

lost!

A little April joke should be allowed ;-)
Developing is going on, the actual version 0.1b is with MMU support.

Next: 0.2 is capable of switching to amiga native modes (in developing).
- Additional: fixes for screen/colorchanges

sounds great! Will you support the new IndyAGA MK2 once the proper firmware is available?

The question is: Is it possible? I don't know much about the MK2, so i can't say if it is possible.
First of all, i'm working on a more stable and in every situation 'running' version. Which is not crashing on changing the resolution for example.

Just managed to make it work in a Test setup
You can check a simple video here.

Still lot of work to be done but it works

(Btw... the backdrop is a custom one 800x600@256 colors created by me lol)

Thanks for the vid! Its coming along. Do you think I could use this driver to run MOvieshop screen for Vlab motion? (there is no moving video just color thumbnails and windows)

Quote from 5, April. I know this will take time, but ... Is there any update about if it's possible to use it with the Indi MKII?

It would be nice for NetSurf 68k http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthre...hlight=netsurf and perhaps I could use SkinnableClock68k too.

So, what are the odds something like this could be made for the AGA version of the Indivision?

So I finally got around to installing this and I've managed to get 800x600 working great. Took fiddling with the picasso96 modes until my monitor liked it.
Still can't get 320x400 or 640x480, would like to use 640x480 if I could.
Speed is good and it's very smooth at 800x600 using an AC500+AC1231, I do get what looks like artifacts in the form of small pixels on the screen here and there, so not sure what that is about.
Switches nicely between WHDLoad games and workbench, better than my A1200. Although pacmania now no longer works but other games I play don't appear to have an issue.
Of course Doom is very playable using indi ECS mode so that's also plus.
On to fixing the pixels and trying to get it to work at 640x480.

Here's hoping there is more updates to come, Jens should embrace this as it would sell more units :-)

Got a little further with this, and now all screen modes work fine. Still getting small artifacts/moving pixels so not sure what that is.

Probably just the driver. Nice to have a 256 colour wallpaper on an A500 :-)

Make sure you IndiECS is updated to IndivisionCore 1.1.
I then installed MMULIB, and then Picasso96. When I install Picasso96 I chose a random card. Remember what card you selected. In my case it was the Domino card.

Delete the file from Devs:monitors in my case domino and domino.info.

I would restart the amiga here.

Download PIC96IEC_0.2.lha and indi.card.02w.lha extract these to a temp folder then copy the folders/files over to the corresponding folders/files. i.e. devs to sys:devs

In the temp folder there should be a file called picasso96settings open up picasso96mode under prefs.

Right click, open project and import the picasso96settings and this will give you the correct settings. I always go right click on the new settings and select attach to indi.

I would restart and then go back into picasso96settings to test.

The blue flash means it is working and it has seen the indiECS just the screenmodes are wrong.

If you import the picasso96settings file into picasso96mode it should apply the correct settings.
