Question A Kind of Newbie Question?

I didn't know where to post this, so I hope here is ok, if not then please move it!

I have read all the FAQ's and searched the Internet, but can't find a solution to this problem:-

I want to transfer an adf back to an original blank Amiga disk, to use on the real thing, transferring the image using a 720k pc disk. The problem is that the adf, when compressed is 841kb, which doesn't fit onto the pc disk, so I will need to split it into 2 chunks. How do I join the 2 chunks together again on the Amiga, so that I can write it back to a disk, using Transdisk?

Also, what is the syntax for Transdisk, to transfer an image back to disk? Any help would be appreciated please. Thanks.

1. Get this for the PC:
http://members.tripod.com/whdload/utils/pcutils.zip

2. Use Splitz to split the file up into PC disk sized chunks.

3. Copy each chunk to Amiga

4. Get this utility for the Amiga.
http://members.tripod.com/whdload/ut...JoinzAmiga.lha

5. Use Joinz to join the bits together again.

I wouldn't use TransDisk - I'd use DiskWiz:

http://members.tripod.com/whdload/utils/DiskWiz.lha

You can do something like:

diskwiz Toki.adf df0:

or

diskwiz df0: Toki.adf

or most other formats like adz or dms

On the Aminet there's a program called Chunker. There's a PC and Amiga version of it included, so you can easily split & join on the different computers.

Right to use the above links do the following.....

1. Right click on a link. A menu appears

2. Left click on Save As.

thanks to one and all

whoooaaahhh !!,cheers for the exellent advice one and all,i am now motoring and getting adfs onto amiga disks.prob though,i have just transferred zout to amiga floppy using adf2disk and the game only loads to title screen on amiga and then crashes in big style(i did notice during the transfer to disk using adf2disk that it seemed to take a very short time considering it was writing an entire amiga disk, maybe this is a prob?),this is my first attempt,so i am about to try diskwiz instead, hopefully it will be better and i can finally get to play deepcore in all its glory.
thanks again for any advice given.
