Something happens on the screen when you press the arrow keys. Is there any way to fix this? And I think it's not bad to do it by mapping rather than fixing it.

Right...you're running workbench 3.1 with kickstart 3.1 rom, and you're launching the whdload version of Nicky Boom 2 from within the workbench environment... m'kay.... I can recreate that, but I quickly add it's not how I play this (any) Amiga title...

...I'll get back to this in a couple of hours ~ I have to go chainsaw some firewood =)

Note: I don't use the whdload version, just an .adf file

Agreed - it's a problem in the game ; you always have to hit UP first, before LEFT/RIGHT leys to make a jump forwards/backwards.

With a gamepad, there really is no problem here, it works perfectly. In fact, it works that well, I'll have to suspect some part of the emulator input code is mapping simultaneous dpad movement and generating/sending the appropriate code to the emulation engine.

I tried it and it worked.Thank you.
So what exactly is your problem ..if it worked?
