I'l give it a go later, then upload it here and amiga.resource.cx, would you be able to do the favour for amiga-hardware or are you still pissed with 'em ?

@Zetr0,

Email it to joerg@amyx.de for inclusion in the Amiga Hardware Database. Joerg will be grateful for anything you can supply.

@proweler

willco!

halfway through it now...

I have to chage the images to greyscale and change the brighness and contrast for the OCR program... its a little on the slow side, what makes it worse is that I have to manually cut out and index each table and graphical figure...

should have it done by tomorrow afternoon m8, and I will put our forum names on the last page for conversion and scanning

ALL OF THEM!!!!

the least sucky was "Softi FreeOCR" but to be fair.... it had issues...

I think next time we must beat loedown into using a better definition resolution on his scanner for OCR work!!!

I find just asking helps, it was a quick 'n' dirty scan, the end of a long day and badly needing sleep. Would you like me to rescan the book before I send it off and if so, what resolution? If you also tell me what you exactly want, I'll even .PDF it for you too.

No offence taken, but I'm holding your pet hamster hostage!

I really need to scan the GVP '030 Combo manual too, it's a bit different to the '040 manual, has different jumpers and memory allocation. How would you like it scanned, what resolution, what file type to save as and the information for the server where you'd like it sent after

Paul
sounds like a much needed project.

okay for the pages without glyphs / images then upto 600dpi black/white

for those with image / glyphs then a bit higher say 900 - 1200 pending on its complexity... try and stick to mono, but if you have to go greyscale

if there is components of colour then take them in colour and I will include them

Try not to save anything in jpg, use PNG's or a loss-less compression format , obviously if its images then .jpg would be fine m8y

@ALL

I have revised and updated due to some OCR errors the PDF available from the Zone.

For those that have downloaded previously, I do urge you to do so again.

Notes:

page 27,
In exmaple code, OCR error, use of "0" instead of "o" for "CloseDevice(io)"

page 28,
Paragraph 2, OCR error "|V|" instead of "M" for "MaxTransfer"

page 34,
First Bulletin, use of "{" instead of "("

Page 35,
Internal SCSI Connector Pinpout NAME field over-writting "I/O"

page 39,
in the Notice: subsection, paragraph 2, the use of "area" instead of "error"

I dont understand the issues with the BBoAH to be honest.

why?!

why the poor layout,
why not a proper database or even wiki?

such a shame.
