I much prefer PDF's to Word documents so created a PDF version of the manual for those who don't have Microsoft Word and anyone else interested. It contains a header graphic of Putty himself and I've also tidied up some of the text in the document as it was a bit messy layout-wise. Its a secured document and can't be tampered with but printing is allowed. I would like to add more graphics but alas, don't have the time to source them. Enjoy.

Thanks I agree with you on .docs although I think a straight .txt would be preferable over a .pdf when no images are required.

Just installed the ADF's via WHD and WOW!!!!! stunning GFX and solid game play. Can't wait to transfer to my real Amiga A1200 (just saving up for ACA accelerator).

If this was the sort of quality games being produced at the end of the Amiga's commercial life (too short IMHO) just imagine if the Amiga had evolved as it should have?....but we all know how that story panned out!

I have to say that despite my initial thoughts, the game has issues on 68060 after all. While it runs from floppy on 060, the WHDLoad version freezes frequently and overall it runs slower than on 1200 with ACA1231.

Let's just enjoy it for what it is and move on and not hold grudges, because there's plenty of other completed games that likely will never see the light of day.

Be thankful we have it, and not necessarily linger on just how long it took to get here.
I kind of like the fact that its getting released now. Think about it. A brand new, high quality game with great scores from all the Amiga mags released in 2013!

The Amiga homebrew scene isn't as vibrant as the C64s and we're lucky if we get a PD version of Snake or tanx once every blue moon.

I've never even played the demo of Putty Squad, so I installed the full WHDload version for the first time on my A1200 and had a go. Great stuff. Amazing to look at. Tight controls. What a gem and what a frigging great xmas gift.

Kudos to System 3 the EAB team who brought it too us and all the other members here on EAB. I'm sure our whining got this thing off the ground also

I've been laid up for a few days (usually happens at Christmas – but even before the booze) and get out of bed to find the world has changed somewhat! Great end to an amazing year for the Amiga!

Wow, I come back to EAB after a hiatus and what do I find?

I got this running on my real A1200 with WHDLoad, and also found it runs just fine from ADF on WinUAE 2.7.0 with the built-in AROS ROM.

Whdload version requires last version of whdloa or does it run also with older versions? I have always WHDLoad 16.9

At least 17.0 is required.

The v16.9 is outdated for more and more games. Don't hold on old versions, only if a specific game won't work with newer WHDLoad versions. Get v17.2.

If anyone is curious, Putty Squad doesn't work on a CD32 with Floppy Drive. I tried multiple disks just to make sure.

It just locks up after 10 seconds of loading on the System 3 presents logo, Much like the Demo released back in the day and Cool Spot/Global Gladiators/Aladdin

Are you able to load other games, as there should be zero disk related smilarities to the other twiddy games as his disk system was removed completely from putty squad.

Yep, I've been able to load pretty much any game fine and many other AGA games such as The Lion King, Body Blows Galactic.
The only commonality I've found is all those games are by John Twiddy.

As I've mentioned in the past Global Gladiators and Cool Spot even crash when running the WHDLoad versions on a CD32.

I have heard stuff suggested that his games didn't like an external floppy drive?

Even on other Amiga setups.
