Ransom: Having watched this play on your youtube channel, I'd say this is impressive, and was very similar to my try, except for the gem pyramid which you hit three times. I appreciate you knew how to get the secret gems above the pool, and the church which I had not known about before.

I wont be trying again, as it just encourages a milking war, so well done.

Ive finished this game many times before though been about a year gap between my last play. Quite like this game. Would be nice to have more worlds.

No, I don't think so. It has been brought to my attention that you have been leeching points, picking up an extra life, dying and then picking it up again (13:15 and 15:38 on your latest video).

Therefore, I have disqualified your score and reverted back to your previous one. Frankly, after your horrendous stunt with your autofire thread elsewhere on EAB and saying how that is cheating, you are lucky that is not worse. Do it again and you get a permanent competition ban.

Anyone else who has seen his score and tries to beat it using Ransom's methods, you know full well what you're doing and you will get a season ban if you do so.

Life is too short to try and abuse the competition's spirit like this so I will not tolerate it. So I advise to anyone with this mindset to go and get one (a life, that is).

Cheers.

Wow. No video no good. With video no good. Beat a high score and your targeted. Yet others with high scores are never questioned about videos? Looks like this competition does not allow new winners. Pretty sad actually. Pleaae wipe my previous score as well. I am not interested in continuing this competition with rules that bend and twist in favour of the regular members.

No, the only sad thing is your attempt to bend the rules as far as possible and try and prove some petty point as you did when you get banned last time. As for your other comment, plenty of new winners as a check over the last few seasons' worth of games will testify. No videos were ever necessary, they are not specified at any point. Your playing the victim is classic cheat/troll behaviour and cuts no ice with me.

In conclusion; clear off and don't come back as you are a fraud only out to cause bad feeling.

I'm with graham on this.. nice gfx and sound but the level design is very shallow. The ability to backtrack is nothing but detriment to the game, unless it is necessary later on

The design is crap full stop.

You are guaranteed to lose a life on each level the first time you play them as you are learning the level and baddies locations. The timer does not give you sufficient time to complete the level until you know each level inside out and can rush through it.

There is also, no 'Game Over' text when you die for the final time which makes taking a true picture of the final score difficult if you don't make it into the high scores.

When you pause the game (press 'P' on the keyboard) there is no clear indication that the game is paused (e.g. 'Paused' text onscreen and/or colour fade).

As for my score, this is all I can muster for now... 41,072

Game completed twice... weirdly the time that I completed the game playing better (I still had 7 lives) I got a lower score (161516) while the time that I only had 2 lives left I got my best score...

In both cases I didn't take any extra lives more than once.

This is really sick. Lemonamiga is down minutes before the round end so we do not know how the compo resulted.

EDIT: lemonserver seems restarted now.

The round is over and here's how it stacked up...

myk takes the gold medal after a real ding-dong battle in the last few days.

liviux76 just missed out after pushing myk all the way but he still lands in a very respectable second place.

lifeschool led for quite a while but ended up in a still very worthwhile third.

In the team battle, EAB won an extremely close fight but it was a very competitive round in every aspect.

Both games taken into account, liviux76 now leads the competition by two points from john4p. LinesMachine, ChrisN82 and myk are all slightly further back but myk's double twenty haul from the round puts him into fifth and within touching distance of a podium position.
