We'll use the same bonus system as for Celtic Heart: take a screenshot at the final exit to get an added bonus of 100 points per remaining life.

OK .
By the way, for the one like me thinking that something to jump higher has to be found to get the 4 stars in the beginning of the game (like the pogo-stick in "Treasure Island Dizzy" )... there are invisible platforms to reach these 4 stars. In fact, I didn't noticed it at first sight but the platforms are not so invisible as you can see some small orange/pink dots appearing and disappearing. Thus, you can know where the platform are . Haven't played this yet but saw these seemingly unreachable objects in a gameplay video that only showed the first level. Thought you'd probably have to jump on the clouds or that there are invisible platforms. Thanks for the info.

Yes it can be funny to be constantly looking at the sky in the levels, wondering if there are hidden platforms.
Having tested this game, its going to be interesting who can get the top score. There is no top score limit here thanks to the Jetpack level, and the perfect navigation through there will probably be our winner. The game itself is not as hard as Celtic was for me, so most should get to see the end. We are assuming the end of the game is World 3, Stage 4. So take images there at the end. World 3 is easy apart from the last level. |

Compared to Celtic Heart, there are far more enemies and missing a jump to fall just close from an enemy is deadly... Concentration will be required with this game as well |

95,595 + 300 = 95,895 At first I thought "Nope, that's too bland. Celtic Heart is much better". But the further I got into the game the better it became. With five diverse worlds, bonus stages and a proper boss fight Trap Runner is the whole package. Very good game. 8/10 Still I prefer CH's music and atmosphere and will return to it soon. Don't have the urge to play through Trap Runner again although it's objectively clearly superior to Celtic Heart (which I'd rate 7/10). Btw., crazy how both games have unique music for every single stage. |

Didn't had so much time to play this round and thus, still training.
Does someone managed to get those four red stones ? Looks like it's impossible to jump there to get them... |

Maybe if you jump on the enemy you can get in there. But you won't be able to get out again without losing a life.

It doesn't seem to me that jumping on the enemy gives enough momentum for that.
The clown who makes bubbles kills me no matter what jump I try to make.... |

Yeah thought so, too. Think they're just unreachable then. Like some stuff in Superfrog and Benefactor. This kind of game design you only get on home computers.

Yep
But considering the size of the team behind "Trap Runner", if it's a left bug, it doesn't really matter... Or maybe we are just bad Have sent a small message to phx. Let's see what he thinks . |

Yes, it's possible. Walk to the ledge under the bubble gum monster. Turn without moving to face inside cave. Quickly jump up left. In other words jump backwards.

Try the first jump the moment the bubble pops. You should easily make that flat footed. Also keep stick pointing in jump direction until complete.
EDIT: Video cropped around jump area. This was from a savestate so diamonds already picked up. Last edited by clenched; 21 November 2019 at 14:09. Reason: delete attachment |
