Gotek Best Location in A1200

Hi,

I got a pre-flashed Gotek drive and a 32Gb Sandisk Cruzer Flash drive, all working great.

I am wondering, what is the best place to fit the Gotek inside the A1200 case. I like the idea of fitting it to the opposite side of the floppy drive aond hav a switch the select Gotek oe floppy drive.

The Gotek display fitted to the top of the A1200 upper case.

Or is there a better place?

Often wondered about using that space for a zip drive in the past! or removable 2.5 inch drive pack. I am surprised commodore never thought of something like that back along.

The Gotek would fit perfectly, the only other work apart from cutting an opening would be to modify the lower metal shielding, a small bit will get in the way and stop the gotek sitting nicely.
