I have always found that weird, so I would be very interested to know what you find about that when doing the fix. |

I don't know about any unskippable section in the intro, all parts can be skipped with LMB. I was referring to non-working keyboard (just like in the game) during the intro which means you can't quit back to DOS while it is running.

Thanks for clarifying.
There is one phase of the intro that I cannot skip. I just tested with the English release IPFs (0143) on an A1200 configuration in Winuae and I remember it back in the day (French release and I had an A1200). It starts when you see the cat: You then have to watch the kids running from left to right. Clicking does not allow to skip this phase. Once the knight enters the screen, it can be skipped. Not an issue per se but I always wondered why that phase could not be skipped. If you have not encountered that, could you tell me which kind of configuration you are using so that I can check if there are some configurations for which it happens or not. |

Done.
French version works too even though it's not mentioned in the readme. |

French version is mentioned in the readme, check JOTD's entry for v1.1.

New version crashed on my 060 immediately after start. After some tries it turned out that it doesn't like cpu caches anymore. So no issue actually with the NOCACHE option enabled.
Thanx for the new fixes |

I tested it on my A4000/060 before releasing and it worked with full caches. Does it also crash if you disable the intro with Custom1=1?

I have a similar problem on my 040 CPU, the game crashes with an error when I want to watch the intro, but with nocache it works without problems...

And again the same question, does it still crash if you disable the intro with Custom1=1?

When I checked the patch code one morning at work (because of the keyboard problems) I think I found at least 2 checksum checks that weren't disabled. Since I cracked the game in such a way that any checksum checks will be passed I didn't have a closer look again. Might check again once I'll work again on the patch.

Same here: Skipping the intro with Custom1=1 solves the problem as well.
Just curious... does the game benefit in any way from these caches? |
