Another video of a coding session.

- Changing the way the character go down from a plateform.
- Changing the way the mega bomb is released. Now the bomb is not stored in HUD panel but released when picked up.
- Changing the way icon bonuses are displayed. They are meant to scintillate. But I was tired and I didn't manage to finish it within the allowed time. Still buggy.
The video is troncated because YT doesn't allow videos bigger than 15 mins.


Edit : Just notice that I've received a CD Baby Sync Publishing Youtube claiming they own the rights for the Commodore 64 music I added on the video. Seriously...

Do not feel sad if that video will get negative ranking, very few people can appreciate matrix encrypted.

Do you have an option for 'director' accounts that should allow longer videos?

One of the quickest ways to get negative votes on YouTube is to make people feel stupid by showing them something they don't understand.

You can enable longer uploads by verifying your Google account via mobile.

All music is copyright and cannot be used in anything without a license granted from the rights holder. It's just that in 99% of the cases the rights owner either don't know, or else they don't care. As a musician myself I wouldn't want my music used in anything without my permission either. My tracks are offered to gamedevs, some exclusively, so I obviously can't allow other entites to use it. Maybe it was a similar scenario here, who knows.

Even if what you say is really true, the people who cannot appreciate "matrix encrypted" should not forget that before anything nice can hit the screen, development environment is the only thing developers see ...

@MisthaLu : I contacted Jason Page the author of the music I used. He didn't know his music was protected. May be it's problematic because it's a cover of Chris Huelsbeck's tume ?

@Steril707 : You're so right ! I screw up when shortening the video, I cut the sequence where the game screen test appears. Will do more effort next time, but it's problematic because I never know if I could achieve a goal during a limited session duration.

Yup, that's it then. Chris most likely handed over the rights to a record company when he started selling albums. From that moment it's out of Chris' hands too. And these days it's all automatic, detected by algorithms.


Generally speaking, just avoid doing a cover without asking permission, and never use any music without permission and/or a license.

Been there -_- Got a cover of an italian song made in protracker in the 90s taken down on Vimeo because of that - author is too famous to even answer email and mechanical licenses are NOT cheap
