All icons with same palette????
Hello!!!
I'm searching an app that can force all the icons to use the same palette I dont want to edit each icon with Iconian of course.... If i want that all my icons have right colours, i'm obliged to set my screenmode at 256 colours... This slow down my miggy because i've a 020 + 8MB fastram........ Any idea???? Thanks Edit: I Put another question in this thread : Can we disable DIR Cache on a partition without formating because dir cache eat a lot of memory if a drawer has a lot of files in, whenever i close the window......) I think that's Deficon that eat memory... Last edited by Rochabian; 07 January 2007 at 00:46. |

Well you can set the pallette yeah, in Scalos it' easy, as for WB i think there is a program called FullPallette or something similar. I used to use it on my real Amiga when I used MagicTV which needed no more than a 32 colour WB.
I think MagicTV even comes with a list of recommended colours to make newicons look good even at 32mb. |

It's worse - I think Magictv requires 16 colours! (use 32 and you won't get the required software de-interlace effect).
So those newicons may look a little washed out. Problem with glow/newicons is they choose what colours to render out of those available. So what you need to do is use a application to choose what your palette is in a lower screenmode and that will force the icons to render from those colours. As KG said, Scalos makes it easy. A third party app that does something similar should be available on aminet like (as KG said) FullPalette: http://www.aminet.net/package/util/wb/FullPalette22 |
