Greetings from Norway
Hi and hello from "sunny" Norway... I've been hanging around here for quite some time now so it feels like I'd better sign up and post something.
Pressing Today's post always seems to turn up something worth looking into. I would also credit EAB for finally getting myself some "new" Amiga hardware again. So a thank you to everyone, you know who you are! I "left" the Amiga back in 1999 and my A1200 got lost/sold at one point I guess. I've been busy since with studying "computer science" (Master) with focus on graphics and algorithms... no doubt a result of where I spent my childhood. Now I've been working as a developer for a dozen years. I used to game on the A500 a little before doing "creative" stuff in AMOS/ProTracker and DPaint. Later on I got into assembly programming on the 1200 and coded on demos in groups like Sector T, TCM and Ephidrena. I guess this background story is not uncommon here Lucky me have got a wife and 3 kids - but I try to spend some time in the basement as well (think 'mancave'). I'm trying to set up a working 1200 (rev 1A) with ACA 1231 and CF/SD card.. I'm also learning electronics (slowly..), picking up equipment and stuff that I'll need in order to fix a motherboard (also 1200 but rev 2B) that I want to put in a DVD case (it'll need to be spill proof to let kids around it...) ... I'm looking forward to spending many more fine hours here in Amiga land .. And finally I've now done 1 post myself! Last edited by jkg; 04 August 2014 at 19:49. |
