Just play the PC version - it lets you play at 25 fps and has a textured road.

There is also an F1GP editor for the Amiga - although I don't recall if you can update the speed of the game. I'd recommend using an 040 - you'll have plenty of speed then.

Frame rates can indeed be changed using F1GP Ed. There's a few provisons in settings, but it does have the option.

You need to use the Editor and edit the f1gp executable. You will have to tell the editor where the executable is. Then set the display options as required. Pal 25 fps or ntsc 20 fps. It depends how fast you amiga is though else changing the framerate will cause issues like making the car spin on the spot. and/or other cars moving too slowly. You need to change opponents car speed too. I think there is an auto button for this.

Backup the original exe and then save the new executable when done, and hopefully youll see your changes. It should be noted the the Editor comes with a manual and explains everything much better

It played smoothly at 25FPS with a 040/25. Great game.

I only played more time on F1GP 2 on the PC. I think was the most played game from 96 to 2000 from me. Hooked.

Just tried to hack F1GP with F1GP.Ed - 25fps, but anything other than 8fps caused the controls the lock out and the game seems to run on auto. Game runs very smooth on 060 / 25 fps but as I say I cant play it cus the controls are locked.

25fps works great on WinUAE, except I'm getting the spinning out of control problem when taking part in a Race (when starting from pits, its fine).

16fps is just a tad too jerky. Is there any way to fix the above problem?
