What that we don't like non-related massive Ads masked as posts for products that are not Amiga related? I sold my C64 to buy an Amiga in the 1980s so I can tolerate some C64 stuff but after a year enough is enough. Every Amiga.org member whether they wanted to know or not knows what a C64x is. We have gotten much grief and complaints about this and a few people even left the site. It has also caused lots of in-fighting with a few members. Even paid advertising is not worth this much grief. We are no ones free Ad platform and punching bag.

Now you know how many of us feel about the a.org mac and iphone troll threads.

Just move the OtherOS forum to coffee talk like I suggested months ago.

Can we please give all this amiga.org stuff a rest please. This is EAB. We have nothing to do with that site, or how it is run, or whatever. I am not interested in EAB being used as some sort of battleground for those who use, or did use, amiga.org. Thanks.

A-Org sinking?

What's happening in A-Org?
Recently I've seen a couple of members coming here. I taked a look there and I found some threads about it:

This place is ruined. Time to leave. http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=57227

Please if you are thinking of leaving read this 1st http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=57240

And a couple of interesting answers:

Sadly there seems to be awful lot of thread hijacking lately, but again, this is nothing new, only now it's people bitching about CUSA instead of the whole Red vs. Blue thing. Yes, it's fun to hijack a thread every now and then, it alleviates monotony of this place, but FFS it is getting beyond a joke, it seems like some people just like the look of their own ramblings. Unfortunately, for the Amiga community as a whole, it appears that a good percentage of its members are so stuck in the past that even their mentality has failed to mature. Why people can't embrace new ideas and community spirit around these parts it well beyond my comprehension.

So long, and thanks for all the pancakes!

... Retrofan, I think people are leaving because they're sick of the Commodore USA praise here, just as so many people were sick of it on AmigaWorld before (which was accompanied by people leaving that forum too). Thankfully EAB doesn't seem to have been affected yet, but then again that forum has other problems that prevent people from wanting to post there.

Expect this place to fall apart over the year as Commodore USA's products actually start coming out.
And even here:

Good thing you jumped ship from A.org as they are circling the toilet bowl.

And appart of all this I've seen a couple of days ago too much publicity, and now I find a couple of threads about it:

I demmand this free advertising stop NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=57245

Please Keep In Mind
http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=57237

I hope nothing of all this will happen here if we can avoid it.

Change of direction... that's imprecise. I was thinking there must had been a change of owners or moderators, but for what I'm reading it seems perhaps they are getting full of off topics about Cusa and others, so perhaps is it a lack of moderation there?

Like Graham said, let's keep EAB clear of A.org's problems. Thanks.
