Printing Problems in Winuae Saga

I have followed the many threads re printing under Winuae ( I am interestd in printing LSD doc disks).

Has anyone to date found a simpl way to do this ? Cannot a newer version of Winuae cater for this problem once and for all.

Not the best solution but you could copy the docs you wanted onto a windows/amiga hard drive directory and then print them using the PC (Word or Wordpad etc)..

I haven't tested but my guess is that they bypass printer.device and printer drivers and directly print to parellel port which means you need printer that directly accept ascii characters (old matrix printers or printers with correct emulation mode set)

WinUAE could have special printer emulation mode for basic ASCII printing but it is not worth the trouble..

And from the top of my head they were mostly packed with CrunchMania or PowerPacker as well...

yep for instance the LSD can be readed as a text only in their earlier issues, like about 20 or so.

redump.emubase has a limited number of LSD docs in text form bypassing the need of WinUAE and can easily be printed the usual way....

But, I wouldn't be suprised if you've already checked this out
