Is doesn't work (argh!). The software error is gone but nothing happens when I try to run the game.
Could it be I made a mistake copying the disk to the hard drive? I just copied everything from DF0: onto the hard drive. Your file in the zone contains other files than my current Larry1 directory (system-configuration, for example). |

Which version (SPS or some crack) did you use? Have you tried my version then? Does that one work?

I'm talking about the good old EGA version from 1987.
I've been trying with get the game working with version 1.05 which apparently is uncracked. SPS ID is 0349. I extracted the files from your version onto the hard drive and it is working. As I want to install other games (so far they all generate software errors), I want to be familiar with entire proces of copying from disk to hard drive and setting up the games to run from the hard drive. For example, when I copy from DF0: to the hard drive I get directories C, Devs, S etc. onto the hard drive... Your zipfile does not contain directories besides Data og Save. How can that be? |

Those folders are only needed when you play from disk. You might have to copy the contents of these folders over to your system HD's folders if the files aren't there (for C and devs, S isn't needed). I'll try the SPS version tomorrow and see if I can get it to work.

I've just installed the adf of larry 1 that was in my PC in a Winuae A500 1.3 + HD configuration and It worked like a charm just by copying everything from the floppy to a drawer of my choice. It was an adf of a copy cracked by The Star Frontier, as stated in the intro, and It didn't even needed assinging anything (so it was quite nicely cracked, indeed) :-)
Ooops... taking a look at TOSEC sites there are at least 5 or 6 variants of copys cracked by The Star Frontier (marked as [cr sf]). I don't know wich one is the one I had, as it was simply named "larry.adf" ^_^' EDIT: wow, everybody was using the sf crack while I was writing the post ;-p -- |

That's the same error you get when you try to copy the files from the IPF (0349). I wonder how adalsgaard managed to copy the files over
