Wtb: GVP impact 2000 HC+8 ROM
Hi Guys,
I am looking for a ROM for the GVP impact 2000 HC+8 scsi controller. As mine has corrupted itself. Cheers Checksum |

May I ask what makes you think the ROM you have is corrupted?
If you can find someone who has the capabilities of Flashing ROM's, there is the last version 4.15 ROM image available here: http://babel.de/amiga.html#gvp The enhanced ROM image (Guru ROM omniscsi.device) will only work if you have Ralphs Adapter pcb. Best of luck fella.

Thanks for the advice, yeah finding someone who can flash the ROM is going to be tricky but the Guru ROM adapter does look perfect for the job and adds support for large drives as well but I don't think these are made anymore?

When the drive is in autoboot mode it should hand over the gvpscsi driver when the drive attached is set to scsi id 0.
I have tested this with two different 50pin scsi devices a Quantum 52mb Hard drive and a Toshiba DVD rom drive. I would have thought the driver would have been made available to workbench from the ROM but when I booted up faaastprep it could not find the ROM. So far nothing has worked on the card apart from the 8mb Ram side which appears as a separate zorro 2 device along side the scsi card.
