Big grin Cracks that FAIL!

While finding the number of max players for HOL I stumbled over two cracktros that mispelled the name of the game. While the first one is a rather understandable fault, the second one made me... you know the term
Now I'm wondering how many bad spelt game names in cracktro (or at least the funniest ones) there are

Okay here are

Paranoimia with Corsarios

and Southhampton Team with Destroyer

Nice find TCD, never would of noticed the mistakes if you hadn't pointed them out. Now when I load any of my cracktros into WinUAE I'll be on the lookout

If I have time tonight, if I'm not boozing again , I'll start running through them

Hehe, you would of thought they would of corrected them first before the release. Considering there is quite a few people involved in the whole process of cracktros, surely someone would of noticed.

Often the texts for the intros were written by the swappers/traders. Which explains everything.

Lol Druid! I thought this was actually a thread about very, very badly done cracks. The ones that simply fail on every single point, the nemesis of the Amiga-gamer!

We could use such a thread...

Judging by the number of possible configurations used, and multiplying it by the number of Amiga users we might as well assume: all cracks fail at some point in some configuration

Reminds me of Mr. Gurk/Phenomena. Not that he did any cracks (that I'm aware of) but his scrolltexts were the worst spelled piece of text ever to grace the Amiga scene. =)

The reason for the first spelling is that the box and the in-game title is different:

Send a message via ICQ to lilalurl
I can confirm that corsaire is French for corsario.
What is the in-game language of the cracked version?

Maybe the cracktro maker had been told by the crack provider that Ubisoft was translating some stuff (including the game title) and he made the cracktro accordingly, without actually seeing the game.

Anyway, even the back box cover has a problem, they spelt 'suplice' while it takes two p 'supplice' (French for torture).

Erm, this is not the 'Defend cracks that FAIL!' thread
In the game you see the title screen like in HOL (http://hol.abime.net/3095). So 'Corsario' would make sense or like IFW pointed out 'Corsaires', but not 'Corsaire'. Okay hope now we can move on to the next faults

I remember I saw somewhere "Pinball Fantasy" instead of "Pinball Fantasies". On Atari ST game packs (Automation) have some spelling mistakes.
