Gotek questions
1. Does the Gotek allow write protected adf's?
2. Does the USB interface support hot swapping, or do you need to reset or even powercycle the machine when changing USB sticks? 3. Have anyone thought of making a Dos-driver for the usb interface in the Gotek? (for accessing the usb stick filesystem) Thanks in advance for answers. |

I bit the bullet and bought one. And it's great. Superb addition to my 500. & I'd add one to a1200 if I had one.

3. I doubt it
AFAIK the USB interface merely swaps a disk image into on-board Ram which is then read by the Floppy Interface |

Well, the selector program can find the short + long filenames and also the file sector offsets from the USB drive's FAT, as these are stored to the selector.adf in order for the gotek to be able to select ADFs with the two buttons.
Has HM exposed anything more would require reverse-engineering his firmware. |
