CD32 conversions being sold on EBay

Purely an advisory since I don't want to get into ethical debates, a guy has started selling CD32 conversions on ebay.

One of them appeared to be our (CD32.co.uk) Shadow of the Beast trilogy, which went for a heft 91.50 euros.

He's also put Hybris up. Appears to be something he made the ISO for himself, while RGCD did a Hybris / Battle Squadron years ago it looks like he's using a newer version of Psygore's slave than was featured on the RGCD disc. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Commodore-...QAAOSwv9hW5t3K

Unbelievable! Its also listed as 'homebrew', maybe report the seller to ebay from a couple of people should stop him profiting.

Pointless reporting him nothing ever gets done. One of the big resellers is knocking out blatant copies of commercial games with home printed labels and selling them as public domain when they are clearly not. I can't remember who it is as i've got a few sellers blocked from my Amiga search on ebay.

There should be a way to stop this. We just need ti work out how. Personally I don't think ot should be discussed in a forum as the seller would be reading everything we say.

I feel bad for the seller as he would be starring down the hallways of hell selling earoks cds.

What a fucking scumbag, this shit pisses me off.
I reported all auctions regardless. Someone ought to care.

As a precaution, I would start putting in TXT files and the menu screens, clear text stating that this is a FREE compilation and if you have been sold one, you have been had. This would prove the software's authenticity as a free fan made effort.

As much as I do not mind when collectors sold their games - nice package in original box, fresh and unopened - sometimes it is only way to save old undumped game for community. This action is immoral in my opinion.

I don't know which is the most unbelieveable:

Selling other peoples work on e-bay
7 people bidding on it
some plank paying 91.50 euro

I haven't got a problem with people charging a few quid for the service of printing a good quality cover, a cd label and putting it all in a nice case. But 90 odd euro's is obviously entirely unfair.

@earok

There's a business opportunity here, 7 people are looking for this CD on e-bay.

7x91= lots of euros

It's neither his nor ours to sell. If the games were original, sure I'd be fine with it.

That´s Crazy and Sad at the Same Time

I think every CD32 Conversion should have a Bootlogo that should mention that it´s FREE and a lot of effort went into creating it.

This guy has been pulling this shit off for a while now it seems.
Even if his account gets suspended, he can make a new one, albeit he would lose all his feedback score.

It's ironic really. Amigajay gets a take down notice for a CD he's not even charging for and this plonker gets 91 euros.

Simple, get reporting, and send him a message telling him he has been found out.

Not doing anything isnt qn option.

Right, sent the seller a shitogram, also i went to the listing, went to the original listing before it sold and reported the item as counterfeit.

I suggest everyone does it, because it will fuck his 91euro sale of Beast Trilogy.

Dont just fucking complain about it and do nothing, go and do it, it took me 2minutes.

Get on with it
