A better place to be!

I can't work out the general ethos of a certain 'other' well known Amiga forum site.

I used to be a member but now only check out Amiga news on it.

EAB has a much 'nicer' tone and feel, and is genuinely helpful to all users.

I'm also shocked by the 'rants', 'abuse' and general bad feeling that seems to be generated by certain users on the 'other' site

EAB is in a class of it's own and seems to have more open and fair minded members.

As a passionate but casual Amiga user it's good to find a site that doesn't preach but actively promotes the good feeling surrounding Amiga users.

Keep up the good 'vibe'

I think EAB was first foreign forum about Amiga which I found (with google perhaps) so I can not compare it to other.

I'm a member of numerous sites, and EAB is one of my favs..
There are things I like about all of the sites I'm on, but I do appreciate the moderation here..
I realize some of the other sites are mor lax, by design. There are positives to that, but negatives also..

So, while I still appreciate the other sites; I really appreciate EAB...

Good job Mods!!
(Did I say that?? :-)

Think EAB is my favorite amiga site.
I proberly spent as much time here as I do on my own amiga related site.

After the hastle I had on the other site a few years ago I generally avoid it.

Started using EAB and Amibay a lot more over the last few months. Amiga.org is helpful and has some interesting posts, just a shame that the owners/moderators let the place run riot with thread hijacking and constant attacks.

EAB is what the Amiga scene would have been like if it was around in the 1980's/1990's imo....

Infact, hold that thought, FOL wearing some legwarmers would be cool as funk Imagine the market place part of the forum with BIN GVP A530's and all manner of Amiga erotica. The Zone would be a hotbed for legal injunctions and RCK would most likely be a pin-up for Violet Berlin.

I think it's because there are less next-gen users here, most of us are just into retro gaming and hardware and enjoying using the real things and playing classic games/demos.

I don't think much of those other Amiga sites either but love EAB

I would love to get the new hardware, but what would I do with it? I haven't coded in years.

I would say that Amiga.org has been my online home for about 13 years.

I do see what people are saying about the moderation there, but I prefer it to some amiga sites.

I personally think the moderation on this site is a little bit on the strict side, but thats just personal taste.

I think both sites offer something different. This site seems to be more or less 100% classic, where as Amiga.org is home to people who like all flavours and continually argue about which is true amiga
