A2000 + A2091 + SCSI2SD = settings?

Hi
I am new to Amigas, so have please have mercy :-)
I picked up an Amiga 2000 recently. It has a SCSCI controller A2091. As far as I can see this has the 6.1 ROM chips.
Purchased a SCSI2SD V5.1 and a 16GB SD card. I have tried several sizes in the scsi2sd-util, but haven't had any luck so far.

scsi2sd-util: these are the latest settings I tried:
General Settings and Device 1: see the pictures in the attachments.

The Amiga 2000 boots with the A2091 floppy disk. In HDToolbox, the SCSI2SD shows up: SCSI, 1, status: unknown.
Change drive type, Define new drive type. What values should I enter here for Cylinders, Heads, Blocks per track, Blocks per cylinder.
I've been fiddling with this but haven't had any luck so far.
If somebody could please enlighten me about this...
THANKS!

I would highly recommend you upgrade to the revision 7 ROMs as that helps with larger SCSI hard disks. If you’re looking for set I have some for sale in the US.

You should be able to read the drive definitions off the card when in HDToolbox.
I have one of these in an A2091 and another in an A590 both ROM version 6.6 and it worked in both.
Only the A590 could see the full 16Gb, the A2091 could only see 2Gb which I put down to it running with 1.3 ROMs while the A590 is in a 2.04 machine.
These are the default settings I used, didn't change them from stock:

Thanks for replying vypr.

However this does not work for me. In Hdtoolbox (1.1), when I read the drive definitions, the message "insufficient data returned by inquiry" is returned.
These values are filled out:
cylinders: 620
heads: 4
blocks per track: 17
blocks per cylinder: 68
On this screen it also says "size 21046K (20meg)"
After this I get this screen: "Warning. The drive type you selected has 42160 blocks, while the drive itself has only 16383 blocks."
After save changes to drive, I get no usable drive icon...

Any ideas?
Thx

First thing I would do is disable SCSI2 and Parity in the general settings for the SCSI2SD utility. what Kickstart version is your A2000 running?

Looks like you have Kickstart 3.1 so htere should be no problem with Workbench seeing the large drive. My best advise woul dbe to look at getting some updated ROMs for the A2091, you should be looking for V6.6 at a minimum and V7 is the ideal.

As stated above TjLaZer has some, or there is a seller inCanada selling them too:

Some things to try:
These are the default drive geometry values in HDToolBox, so it read nothing. I have never encountered that error about "insufficient data returned by inquiry." Make sure you are running the latest firmware in the SCSI2SD. Try to remove the ROMS from the A2091 and try to set it up again without ROMS installed (should only prevent autobooting). If you succeed, you got bad ROMS. After that, the next thing to check is the WD33c93 SCSI controller chip. Oh, and "thou shall always check voltages".

FYI Drive icon is not visible until you reboot.

I had a bad A2091 (bad ROMS). The fix and installation with SCSI2SD v5.1 is in a video on my YouTube channel:

Hope that helps!
