Emulate Video toaster?
Has anyone been able to emulate the video toaster? or the Open Video Toaster? I would like to explore it for lightwave, toaster paint and toaster cg. It would be cool if there were a straightforward way of doing that. I'm emulating amigaOS4.1. I have the video toaster source but I looked inside it and Im clueless how to use it.

Hardware information does not exist. Source is software source, it does not help to know how the hardware (which is very complex) works.
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=77808 is some discussion about this problem. (dated mid 2016 or so) |

there is still a tiny chance - without hardware emulation - if someone manages to compile
the switcher with the TOASTERLESS option |

Well, here's the thing. Toasterless is nothing more than a demo really. Without the hardware it does nothing but allow the user to experience the GUI. There's no way to use it with say, 2 video files to do live switching and then output that to a third file (like a video editing or video recording or switcher program might allow) - so there's no emulated sources or dataflyer for the output.
It's kind of like visiting and warship museum where you can see and touch all the controls and weapons systems but they do absolutely nothing useful other than an experience of looking and touching. I'm not criticizing, I'm sure that interests a lot of people. I was asking because if it were functional in anyway, it would be a lot more interesting to me, myself and I. That's all.
