Greaseweazel ERROR

Hi,

I have an issue with my Greaseweazel V4.
I have followed instructions to mount the whole thing.
When I type the command "gw read test.AD" it returns me a message error like this one :

FATAL ERROR
Cannot find the Greaseweazle device.

When I plug on the USB to PC, I hear the sound of USB plugged in but it's like the device doens't exist at all. Strange.

I can't find any error same as mine when I google it.

Thanks for your help.

You probably do not enough power on the USB port if it is USB2, I needed to get an external power supply the 4 pin molex type (5v 12v) and then got a Molex splitter that goes to two four pin floppy connectors ,one goes to the Greaseweazle and other to the Floppy drive and it now works perfect

That should not make the device itself not being found. I have mine connected via USB2 as well. Just the floppy drive must be powered separately in that case (which is always a good idea anyway).

It will show up as a COM port. Does it? What does "gw info" say?

My windows 8.1 says that the USB device is unknown (but he knows it's a Greaseweazel as the name is displayed in list). No driver found. It's like Windows tries to install a driver but fails.
