My simple cooling solution for the ppc on a CS-PPC...
My DCE CS-PPC came without a fan on the ppc (can't blame the previous owner, he removed it and use an external 80x80 fan to cool the whole card) but I wanted to put one. So I removed the ppc heatsink , applied a thin layer or thermal paste (there was none...), placed a heatisink on the 060 , and then screwed a 12V/2 Ball Bearing Titan fan on the ppc heatsink. I used some bolts as spacers, and made the fan blow air to the ppc heatsink. That way when I also install a 80x80 fan to cool it, it will take air from the current and throw it at the ppc ...
my only regret is that now I have a 50mhz 060... my bppc had a 60mhz one... here are some pics, nothing special though |
