Siamese 2.5 and 68060 browser
Hey! Finally got my A1200 + Blizz 060 online with wifi!
Can anyone re-up Siamese 2.5 (ethernet version), along with any 68060 capable web browser? Aweb isn't cutting it.. :-) Also: anyone know of an easy way to share files from the amiga to pc / vice versa? Cheers! Last edited by cartoonmonkey; 03 January 2008 at 02:21. |

If someone doesn't beat me to it I'll up S-RTG when I get home.
Easy file sharing: Seems to me this is either easy to set up but no so convenient or a swine to set up & then conenient. The former: -Floppies -2.5' HDD to USB adapter for PC. Pull A1200 HDD, connect to PC & use WinUAE for access. -CF Adaper for both PC & Amiga. Use CF as the miggy's HDD & UAE for the PC end. The middle: AmigaExplorer (Cloanto) - PC & Amiga ends handle the communications. Need working network connection. S-RTG will do much the came thing once set up. (You can also mount PC dir's on Workbench) The Latter: Set up SAMBA (& probably SMBFS) on the miggy. You'll then get transparent filesharing / printserving in both directions across network. V. nice! BUT... ...OMG! What a swine to set up!!! Unhelpful comment: I've pretty much given up surfing from AmigaOS... AWeb-II isn't so bad. I guess IBrowse is currently the best of the bunch. (Firefox has been ported to RiscOS as a one-man project, so why not AmigaOS? Beyond me TBH) Last edited by Charlie; 03 January 2008 at 11:51. |
