WinUAE
I have a little problem with WinUAE 0.22 r8
when i play games i get the sound but it is delayed about 2 seconds Here is my config I have tried it on a PII and PIII but still get the same problem. Please help me |

I used to get that and it sodded me off. Playing pinball games and hearing the sound 2 secs after you flip the flipper.
To fix it go to the sound tab and turn the sound buffer size down. I used to turn it right up thinking it would lag less but down is the way to go. Turning it down too low however, will make the sound choppy, but if you play with it you can find a happy medium where there is no choppyness and no lag. The right sound buffer size will depend on how good your PC is. I find 4 (371ms) works well. (I use 44.1khz, 100% accurate, mono and no filters.) There's alos the lag compensation slider but I've never found it make any differnece. Also I think the "adjustable between CPU and chipset" setting might have an effect on sound. |
