Cyberstorm MkIII problem

I have recently fitted a Cyberstorm MkIII to my A4000D... since I have done this the IDE drive has not been bootable and I cannot access any drives on it even when booting with a workbench floppy...

However.. If I boot up with a hard drive on my buddha ide card (which doesn't like booting all the way 'cause my boot drive was originally on the A4000 IDE) I can access the drives on the main IDE controller...

If I put my original 030 card back in then the IDE works fine again...

Anyone got any suggestions on what I can do?

I had a similar problem with my CS III. Have you installed the latest libs for the CS III? Here is the website with all the latest Phase 5 MK Software.
Also, check your SCSSI cable. If it's faulty or not in use remove it.
Hope that will help you a bit.

The firmware of the CSMKIII allows to disable the internal IDE bus. Check the firmware menu for any enabled patches. The firmware menu is opened if you hold down the Esc key during a reset. IIRC the relevant patch is called "SCSI patch" and is located in the "MapROM" menu.

Your HDD probably contains an installation of AmigaOS 3.9 with enabled ROM-Update or IDEfix. The updated scsi.device overrides the settings in the firmware menu.
