Yeah I wasn't snapping at you, I was just explaining why I started with TOSEC. I wanted the option to choose myself what is best.
I understand there are cracks that aren't 100% (and I might have committed the error of including a few in this pack) but I really needed to make sure that I could include every AGA fixed game there was, and with Gamebase there is no way for me to tell that.

I will check Gamebase if I can get the games only, thanks for that tip, I didn't know. I just never cared for Gamebase at all. At least, I hope, it won't have games that have been infected with viruses!!! I still can't understand why this shit is allowed in TOSEC.

Also I don't want to have the "best version" chosen by someone else. Best version with which use in mind? Gamebase is for emulation users mostly. I chose the best balance for real Amiga users (for example, games that had AGA fix versions took priority over all others, so AGA users can also play).

Also teh Cortex Gotek firmware doesnt't show but 26 characters, so I doubt Gamebase Amiga has renamed with this in mind

Anyway, ransom, I have no idea why this happens. Did you check "selector" and confirmed all slots are filled? I Can change games just fine. If the selector file somehow got fucked, I can upload it again.
The selector is fine. All games show up in the slots. But only slot 1 loads. Hmm very weird. Maybe my gotek doesnt like the 16gb stick im using? Ill give it another try with a different stick and see what happens.

If you change the number, it goes back to 1? Or does it only show one number on the LCD?
I had a problem once where it got stuck on a number but after messing with the buttons a bit, it worked again.
Also try going to the selector ADF and "saving" the changes.

Tried saving. No change.

It remains on the last known number so changing numbers work all the way uo to 999.
I have to try it on a different usb stick thats the only thing i can think of.

If anyone else tries your gotek content on their gotek. Let us know if more then slot 1 loads.

So what happens when you change the numbers? Nothing?

Yep, 002-999 all stay on 1.3 kickstart screen.

If i turn off Amiga. Use either of my 2 x 8gb gotek sticks works fine.

At least its clearly marked as virus infected in TOSEC!
Your collection is 99,9% virus free, except one Disk:
Balance of Power - The 1990 Edition (1989)(Mindscape)

TOSEC is as it is, some like it, others do not!

...not to speak about those much bad disks in your archive

Donot get me wrong, I love TOSEC, but I do not understand why virused versions are included (or bad dumps). Yeah, when no other version of a disk exists, I can understand it, but otherwise, nope!

Thanks for checking this out mai, I will remove that one disk with a virus, must have slipped my eyes.

And Wiroma isn't my collection, I just uploaded it so you guys can get anything rare. Someone else had found it in another forum.
I know, now that I started renaming them all, I see how MANY bad disks there are! I wonder if they were sold like this back in the day, or if they were damaged by the time they were archived. It is possible, after much use, that it was the case. It's a shame, but I already found a bunch of rarities I am sure everyone will appreciate having.

Really? This is weird. I don't remember taking any [b] disks.
Do I have to do this again? UGH.

Might start with Gamebase then :/

[edit] mai, I just ran the collection through CLRMame Pro with the latest DAT files, and I found a bunch [b] disks within. Man was I tired! I also notice why: some of these, I didn't have good copies of. Thanks for pointing it out, I am replacing/deleting what's bad and removing that virused game. Good chance to include Damian's version of Breakout Revolution too.

Yes, you should definitely do this

Like myself with my own collection; Belgarath has been painstakingly adding in 100% working versions of games over the past 10 years by vigorously testing / playing through to completion where possible / reading threads on various forums etc...

You can virtually guarantee that any files in Gamebase are working until the end.

Well I went through what I had and removed/replaced a lot of stuff, will have a look at Gamebase and try to come up with a unified solution.

Will delete the upload for now while I update it, so nobody gets the shitty files. I'll post again when I managed to finish and re-upload it!

[edit] Another reason not to use Gamebase is that it doens't seem to include much PD, at least the ones I wanted are not there.

When it comes to PD games there usually aren't more than 1 or 2 versions anyway so easy to add yourself

Yes I noticed that one too and replaced it.
Also including Damien's Deluxe Galaga 2.6 archive and others.

As I said, I am working on version II, with fresh eyes! Thanks to everyone pointing out the errors, bad disks, etc. I will re-upload once ready. I'm currently doing something else (going through some argentine hacks for TOSEC).
