CD emulation using E-UAE and Hi-Toro

I thought I'd have another stab at getting Frostwork's 888 collection up and running on my Mac. It would probably work if I burnt it to a CD and accessed it using UAE's SCSI emulation feature, but I'd rather run it from my HD if possible.

OS X auto-mounts the ISO file, but E-UAE doesn't seem to be able to find it. I tried enabling the 'other' option under SCSI emulation and entering the volume path to no avail - E-UAE boots yet then moans about the ISO being write protected. Well it would be wouldn't it - it's pretending to be a real CD.

Has anyone managed to suss this out?
