Lemmings with sfx & CD audio tracks

It wasn't a particularly hard work now that the CD routines work well, and the game isn't very difficult to patch, so there's Lemmings CDTV + CD audio tracks (thanks Amigajay for providing them, wherever he found them)

https://www.dropbox.com/s/p5k7x2abmy...audio.zip?dl=0

Credits:

- Psygore: original whdload installer
- Toni Wilen: CD audio routines for CD32load
- JOTD: CD32load & CD audio extra fixes

I think some people will prefer the original music, but the CD music has better quality (and can even be changed if required). The tunes match the exact levels (17 tunes playing in sequence, except for special Psygnosis games levels)

The 2 player game couldn't be included (yet) because of unemulated function of whdload required.

This isn't a major release, since the game ran with music & sfx at the same time, but it wasn't too hard to do so why NOT doing it?

I've built the image using StatMat ISOCDWin. Works fine with a recent WinUAE but does NOT work yet on real hardware. Well it crashes randomly with a file error ATM even if it can work a little... Don't burn a disc yet

@Amigajay: start by Lemmings. Others are reported not to work (although CD32load hasn't changed for the loading part).

That one was burned with ISOCDWin so has more chance to work. Please test that one first, and if it works, I'll re-master the 2 other ones.

@AMIGASYSTEM you mean for Lemmings? Well, it'll probably be Tim Wright, Martin Iveson, and ... Mozart along other classics.

No jotd, i wanted to provide the missing titles (I'm a fan of covers I've cataloged more than 300.000 HERE )

01 Jacques Offenbach - Infernal Galop
05 Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky - Danse Des Petits Cygnes (Dance of the Little Swans)
08 Patti Page - The Doggie in the Window
09 Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky - Dance of the Reed Flutes
11 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Rondò Alla Turca
12 Traditional - London Bridge Is Falling Down
14 Ralph Vaughan Williams - Frances W. Wile - All Beautiful the March of Days (Forest Green)
16 Ten Green Bottles - Chopin - Piano Sonata No. 2 (The Funeral March) - Here Comes the Bride
17 Henry Whitter - She's Coming Around The Mountain

I believe the traces 02, 03, 04, 06, 07, 10, 13, 15 they belong to music created expressly for the game even if they remind me of something.

some musical culture is much appreciated. At least when you hear that somewhere, it avoids to be mocked at because you're recognizing the music from Lemmings, but not the classic author.

Renamed the titles, so next / official release will bear the original titles. Note that for instance the Mozart one has some non-Mozart part in the end. The end definitely does NOT belong to the original tune.

No joy with this or Gods on my real CD32 JOTD, Lemmings comes up with red screen 'unlisted exception' and on line 6 says 'cd32 file-l'

Gods, i added the intro which plays fine but the screen stays black afterwards.

Bugger!

That's baaaad news. Thanks for testing. Well, this will have to wait until I can get my hands back on my CD32.

EDIT: this one starts fine, I could play the first level, but I get file read errors, which is the limitation of the hardware CD load routine (ROM routine is better, but I cannot use it in that context).

Time to investigate and find a solution.

BTW StatMat ISOCDWin works a treat. Replaces Amiga ISOCD on Windows. Excellent (I hinted at some point that it didn't work, but my CD laser was dead that's why)

Really pleased to hear it's working well and you guys are finding it useful. As I don't own a CD32 I wasn't able to test with anything but an emulator.

I should dig out the code again soon and finish off those last few features I had planned...

yes, yes, batch mode please!! and upload to aminet or host it somewhere (with source if possible). That's really a super useful program for us CD32 boot builders.
