Crazy mouse speed when connecting with VNC

WinUAE v3.4 had no issues when I tried to connect to my computer using VNC. Any newer version the mouse movement is so fast, you can't click on anything. I would use the same config and go from 3.4 to 3.6 and 3.6 is unusable when networking in. Help.

Two possible fixes: set mouse type to "Windows mouse" and/or tick "Virtual mouse driver", both in Game Ports panel.

Why would that have been changed between versions? Although I will give those two options a try and will post here with the results.
