Not enough information..

Running WinUAE with admin privileges? Drag and drop does not work between different privilege level processes. (Windows security feature, application can't override it)

Too basic configuration? Drag and drop mounting requires "uae boot rom" (at least one UAE expansion must be enabled, like directory filesystem)

Thanks Toni, I have only just discovered that you can do with WinUAE "drag and drop files or directories" from the Windows desktop to the Workbench. I noticed that you create a volume file or directory name, then it can be disassembled with the usual "Assign Dismount volume name:", or with the simple reboot, really useful
