ERROR: Capital Punishment (T-Zer0 version) - Illegal Intruction

Retroplay reported a crash with WinUAE at the beginning of Level 3 with theT-Zer0 CD version (Illegal Instruction).

I can confirm the crash on my real machine. I'm too lazy for installing the SPS game. Is it crashing too?

@KG:

Move this thread, if you don't want to install it in the next future.

Edit: Just sent the bug report to CFOU!

I've already installed i, and yes he (or someone else, can't remember) told me the same thing. Happens on all versions apparently, I just never bothered reporting it.

EDIT: It was slauchi!

It's a lousy game, but some guys like it. Anyway, i've made a bug report and something will happen...someday.

btw: Have you made a bug report for Fightin' Spirit? The AGA/CD32 versions crashes or doesn't work properly?

I made a bug report for the CD32 one, but I've never had a problem with the AGA one.

T Zero's version is perhaps not v1.1 version.... eded my patch works ONLY for updated version....

badly, for some months i am not time to test it

here extract of Whdload package"'s ReadMe file:
Remarks:
- Capital punishment patch v1.1 is needed (CP-UpGrade.lha can be found on aminet)
- you must place 'CP-UpGrade.lha' in main directory of this install script
Warning 1 !!! this patch run fine only with Capital punishment V1.1
Warning 2 !!! You must re-install game indeed some files needed for parental lock
and german language are deleted by original install script.

Hi CFOU!

Both versions I installed (floppy and t-zero cd version) were installed with the v1.1 patch.

Schlauchi tested the disk version for me but said it crashed so I sent him the cd version, he said it gave the same results.

I think he said it was the alien level? Is that level 3?

@KG

Yes, after you defeated the second enemy it loads into level 3 and crashes then a few seconds later.

@CFOU

Aaah, the game works fine!! The patch on aminet is double packed, forgot to check this. I renamed this CapitalPunishm.lha to "CP-UpGrade.lha", of course this doesn't work.

It works flawless. The game auto-quits after the end pictures, but this is maybe intended by CFOU.

Hmm, that is strange. I could have sworn I installed it correctly with the correct patches...

I'll have to take a look soon!

Mhh...I installed the T-Zer0 version with patch.

It´s strange. The game crashes randomly.

When I tried it for the first time, I reached "the master" and then the game crashed.

The second time I changed some settings (plus German language) and it crashed right after "the temple".

And finally it crashed after "the chamber". (this time with "nocache")

Hey Retro-Nerd, did you change some settings before playing?

Nope, didn't changed anything. Played it with Custom4=1 to the end. Do you have a 040/60 CPU?

Yes, 060.

I used 4=1 and 5=1 and reached the final level again.

I pressed ESC then to save game data (arenas) for two players / player vs. Amiga mode.

But now I´ll try to complete it 100%.
I hope it´ll work. Do you think it´s a 060 issue?

Only a wild guess. I can't compare it.
