I was just thinking the same thing.
Either that or he was over excited with his new toy. If you consider selling your blizzard 1240, give me a nod. |

It does look rather nice in black. hmmm, maybe I need to look into this... Nice work, especially once you replace the enter key
Can you shoehorn a bvision in there then? I've got a 1260 coming for my desktop, but assumed I'd have to tower it before buying a bvision... |

BPPC AND BVISION into a desktop case is doable, but very marginal (especially on cooling of the BVISION)
Need socket-risers for the Fast-ATA to clear the GFX card... ...been looking into this myself. (taking an alternate route when I can find appropriate hardware) @adonay: V. nice mod BTW (Give me a PM if you want tips on installing a slot-loader) |

Also it is slightly let down by the presence of an unregistered WHDLoad

*EDIT* just found time to write better ....
@ charlie : No worries mate i have had bvision and bppc in a desktop before as well as a fast ata .. So i know the prosess ... just wish i had a bppc with scsi ... I may also think about buying a idefix express instead... @ Zetr0 Inside pics will come asap ... @ Alexh Not sure about selling the 1240 i may convert it to 060 soon ... And i kind of love the compability it has with demos... Although some games have speeded up soundtrack with this card ?!?!? @ Graham As for unregistered whdload sorry about that will register it soon.. @ cane Its a Logitech mx 1000 connected to internal cocolino adapter ... This being saied that this is my first 040 and i am quite pleased with the speed the card has, but its no 060 at 80mhz but some things are running almost as fast ie: quake 1 is slow on the apollo and seems almost as fast on this card with aga... Weird ??? i think so too ... Last edited by adonay; 28 January 2008 at 15:30. Reason: not good enugh |

@Adonay
To be honest, I had nothing but problems with Quake ans my Apollo, even with a Cybervision 64/3D Mk2 it would hardly push 16 fps... and thats on the lowest setting... |

I seem to remember playing clickboom quake on my BPPC 060 back in the day and aga and it was by my opinion then playable... And well with 240mhz ppc and bvision with another quake port it was blasting fast .. Why is it the apollo is so slow on that game ? Maybe the guy who ported did only test with a blizzard ???
