Best method when changing RTG card?

I currently have a Picasso II running P96 RTG software in my A4000T. I'm replacing the Picasso II with a Cybervision 64/3D+Scandoubler and was curious about the the proper/best method to change the Amiga over to the new hardware.

Is it just reinstalling P96 and selecting the Cybervision 64/3D and when completed, shutdown and swap cards, or would it be best to select a native Amiga mode, swap cards then reinstall P96?

Or more extreme, uninstall the P96 software, remove the Picasso II and install the Cybervision 64/3D and then reinstall P96?

The Picasso II will be installed in my Amiga 4000D with an Indivision AGA MkIIcr handling the native modes.

Pricipally you just need the CV64/3D monitor driver and attach settings to CV64/3D board - it can show everything that is set in the P96 settings for PicassoII - and with 4 MB memory and higher pixel clock you can create more (higher) modes
with higher refresh rates.

Great. Yeah, I'm looking forward to the greater memory and higher pixel clock, I'm a tad spoiled on Amithlon with my 1680x1050 @ 32bit workbench that is blisteringly fast, and the Picasso II is okay for 1280x720 @ 8bit......but I'd like more color depth. I'm hoping the Cybervision will give me a usable 1280x720 @ 16bit.

I see I'll need the CVision3D.card file and the S3ViRGE.chip files in LIBS:Picasso96/ but I'm not seeing a CVision3D monitor file in the Picasso96-2_1.e.zip archive I have like I see a PicassoII monitor file in DEVS:Monitors/ on my Amiga.

The monitor files are merely the file Picasso96 in devs/monitors/ renamed to the card name.
