EAB/Lemon SUMMER SLAM 2020 - Custom Lotus III tracks
EAB/Lemon SUMMER SLAM 2020 - Custom Lotus III - The Ultimate Challenge Tracks Starts: 00:01 June 7th Finishes: 23:59 June 27th Welcome to the second EAB/Lemon SUMMER SLAM. A solitary event that has no effect on the Super League or Knockout. The winner will be crowned as the official EAB/Lemon Summer Slam 2020 champion. He will also get the right to determine the game for the next Summer Slam: either Lotus III again with NEW custom tracks (named after a specific theme) or a completely different game that he chooses. capehorn, the winner of the first Summer Slam decided that we play Lotus III again for Summer Slam II. Now let's play and enjoy these nine custom tracks. All have a different scenario. This year we play on Lotus 2-style tracks (A-to-B-routes) but with Lotus I-style scoring. You must place at least 10th in a race to proceed to the next. Rules Select the cup for GAME and the question-mark [?] for COURSE, choose any controls on the left side: Select DEFINE to set exactly these nine custom tracks: Code:
GRANDPRIX-67 WOLFCHILD-58 XENOMORPH-88 NAVYSEALS-70 MOONSTONE-91 HARLEQUIN-92 FIREFORCE-99 LLAMATRON-70 VENOMWING-80 Return to the main menu and START the game. Select the Lotus M200. Alternative: WinUAE-users can just use the standalone savestate below to save the hassle of typing in the tracks. Post a picture of your score here with the score written underneath. Enter as often as you like. Only scores achieved during the round's time frame count. No cheating of any kind, including save states (well, except for the one provided here). If you suspect anyone of cheating please let us know in private - anyone found guilty will be banned from all competitions (incl. Super League & Knockout). Remember, ANYONE can join in at any time. Have fun and feel free to ask any questions you may have. Downloads - Disk 1 Disk 2 - WHDLoad-installed - Course File for WHDLoad version (thx @Harry) - Stand-alone Savestate (to start right away; needs Amiga 1200 setup with 2MB chip & 8MB FastRAM) Extras - Lemon thread Results: 1. john4p - 154 2. capehorn - 122 3. Here is a course file for WHDLoad.
Unzip it, copy it in the game directory, start Lotus 3 while holding fire down until LOADING appears, select edit courses, press escape to not load a course set, choose exit and save the courses by selecting a slot with 1-9 and entering a file name. Last edited by Harry; 07 June 2020 at 16:44. |

Would like to recommend these ADFs. Seem to be more stable.
http://ezael.net/Retrogaming/Commodo...r%20TKK%5D.zip http://ezael.net/Retrogaming/Commodo...r%20TKK%5D.zip Roadworks Good choice having roadworks and futuristic at the start. Roadworks is tricky and futuristic has luck. The desert track was up to its old tricks of corners on hilltops but it was a very satisfying race. Last two tracks are great sprints. Storm is harder with all the bends. Good tracks. Can't imagine anyone getting all 1sts. Some of those opponents move really fast. First completed go. 103 |

Barely managed to qualify through all the tracks and a few 1st positions, earning some pathetic 90+ points, not even worth sharing the screenshot. I will practice and try again.

Got 1st on every track when I playtested them individually. But playing all nine tracks in one go is a different story. Highly doubt we'll see a perfect 180 score.

Out of interest did the game start you in 20th place when you were testing the tracks?

Yay, practice pays off! I managed to get a decent score, even though I missed quite a few first places, especially in the first track. A good hint is that you don't need any pit stops.
Overall, very enjoyable tracks, it was a very exciting endeavor! I drove an Elan and got 155. |

Well done!
The Elan makes it considerably easier though, you must have missed this rule: Quote:
