Ham videos

I am amazed at what the Amiga can do..
I have converted a few videos using hamp.run app
Following a guide from majesta..
I still cannot believe the Amiga could do this..
But I want to see more of the videos..
Is there a place we could download and up load our videos?
Hamp.run rocks!!!!

I'd like to see some HAM videos to download, I'm curious to see my Amiga do that!

Why don't you upload any to Youtube, just to have an idea of the videos you are converting?

The Ham Vids I have made run at about 2/3 real speed
on my 1200 + 040/25

http://vidmg.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1ghgvuyi.mp4
and crawl on my 600.
http://vidmg.photobucket.com/albums/...psnkzolyhe.mp4

#EDIT#
Something to do with being original (25 -30 fps) frame rate
I tried to do 15 fps but it went out of Sync...

Guide from Majsta is less than optimal (to complex) and quality is lower than it can be achieved - there are other solutions with single pass conversion inside ffmpeg with "antialiasing" (trough xBR resize), "motion blur" (temporal blending) and support for better audio processing (Amiga samplerate correct).

Code:
@rem echo --audio--
@rem possible samplerates are for example: 28604, 22883, 22168, 15977, 11260
@set samplerate=22883

@rem possible ngain are for example: -3.0103, -6.0206, -9.0309
@set ngain=-6.0206

@rem possible audither are: 0,1,2,3 ('none'?‘rectangular’‘triangular’‘triangular_hp’‘lipshitz’‘shibata’‘low_shibata’‘high_shibata’‘f_weighted’‘modified_e_weighted’‘improved_e_weighted’)
@set audither=shibata

@rem possible volume value are for example: 1.50515dB, 3.0103dB, 6.0206dB, 9.0309dB, 12.0412dB, 18.0618dB or 1.5 2 etc
@set avol=0dB

@rem echo --video--
@rem possible vidither are: 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 or "bayer","ed","a_dither", "x_dither"
@set vidither=a_dither
@rem possible video color space are: rgb555le (15 bit), rgb444le (12 bit - native Amiga)
@set cspc=rgb555le

@ffmpeg -threads %NUMBER_OF_PROCESSORS%*1.5 -i %1 -map 0:v -c:v rawvideo -vf vflip,negate,hqdn3d=6:6:8:8,tblend=all_mode=average,decimate=cycle=2,pp="hb/vb/dr/al|f",scale="'if(gt(a,4/3),320,-2)':'if(gt(a,4/3),-2,216)':force_original_aspect_ratio=decrease:out_range=full:sws_flags=lanczos+accurate_rnd+full_chroma_int+full_chroma_inp",xbr=2,scale=iw/2:-1:sws_flags=spline+accurate_rnd+full_chroma_int+full_chroma_inp:sws_dither=%vidither%,pad=320:216:(ow-iw)/2:216-ih:color=white,negate,format=pix_fmts=%cspc% -sws_dither %vidither% -y %1.avi -map 0:a:0 -c:a pcm_u8 -af "[in]aformat=sample_fmts=fltp,highpass=f=5,highpass=f=5,pan=stereo|FL < FL + 1.414FC + .5BL + .5SL + 0.25LFE|FR < FR + 1.414FC + .5BR + .5SR + 0.25LFE,compand=0.1|0.1:0.60|0.60:-76/-999|-60/-30|-30/-20|-20/-15|-9.309/-6.0206|0/-3.103:6:%ngain%:-90:0.6,treble=g=%ngain%*-2:f=%samplerate%/4,volume=%avol%,aresample=resampler=soxr:osr=%samplerate%:cheby=1:cutoff=0.990:dither_method=%audither%,aformat=sample_fmts=u8:channel_layouts=stereo" -y %1.wav

btw CLUT (Palette) to improve HAM (function not supported by AVI4HV.EXE but i hope it should not be difficult to add) can be easily generated by using:

Code:
@set /p CLUT=How Many Colors (4..256):
@echo %CLUT%

@ffmpeg.exe -threads %NUMBER_OF_PROCESSORS%*1.5 -i %1 -vf "palettegen=max_colors=%CLUT%:reserve_transparent=0:stats_mode=diff" %1_C%CLUT%_D.ppm
@ffmpeg.exe -threads %NUMBER_OF_PROCESSORS%*1.5 -i %1 -vf "palettegen=max_colors=%CLUT%:reserve_transparent=0:stats_mode=full" %1_C%CLUT%_F.ppm

I wonder what these videos would look like if the Amiga designers had stuck with using an YIQ or YUV scheme instead of RGB. Probably much better (assuming proper coding).

Maybe they should have just put a switch in the 1084 monitor.

You must have understood something wrong. I didn't tell I have any video to upload. But in fact -you know I like to try all- I made this:

[ Show youtube player ]

Then I had a B1260 and I was using a small CRT TV and AmigaSYS.
As you ask me, here you've got a good Ham video from Amiten on Youtube, and he was using a later AKReal:

His HAM video is much better.

Hi Amiten mate:
Your HAM videos are very good, congrats. Why don't you create a HAM video on your live youtube Channel to see step by step? That would be great.

The ones I have seen (Japanese) come to:
40 to 90 Meg for 1.5 to 3 mins

Mine are:
Kylie = 101 Meg (136 Meg as a Ham8) originally 1:35
Big Buck Bunny = 601 Meg (699 Meg as a Ham8) and 9:56
