EAB/Lemon Super League 2017: Round 14 Game Vote

EAB/Lemon Super League 2017: Round 14 Game Vote - MYSTERY ROUND
Starts: 00:01 October 15 Finishes: 23:59 October 28

Rules

Full rules are here.

Vote for five games.

Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4 pts, third 3 pts, fourth 2 pts, fifth 1 pt.

Remember to choose games suitable for competition play. Edited votes will be discounted (unless told otherwise) so think before you post. Please only vote on one board - either EAB or Lemon.

If a game comes in ECS and AGA versions, please state your preference in your vote. In the event the versions differ gameplay-wise, the version with most votes will be played. ECS is the default if you don't specify.

The winner of Round 13 has double voting power for Round 14. (1 = 10 points, 2 = 8 points etc). However, because the voting for the next round ends before the current round ends, players must place their votes and wait for the current round to end to see who will have their vote doubled.

Tactical or nosey voters can see the Lemon voting thread here.

This is the vote for the second Mystery Round of the season, so only games nominated during the nomination period can be voted for. Please choose your votes from the games listed below: (HOL/Lemon/YouTube links added where available)

After The War
Alcatraz
Amiga Encounter
Baby Bug

26 games here, which isn't a bad turnout at all. This wasn't without a headache or two, though.

Firstly, we will be tightening the rules of this up next year. You will absolutely have to pick a game that is unknown to you, so if you're voting for it regularly in normal rounds and seem to have some decent knowledge of it, that probably won't fit the bill. However, we were a bit slow in taking action on this, so not everyone who got a message has logged on in time to change their nominations. Sorry about this if it seemed a bit messy.

Secondly, anyone who got their nominations in after the deadline won't find their choices here. Sorry about that but a closing date is a closing date.

Thirdly, please can we stick to the 'two games + a backup' format rigidly in future. Not everyone did this but we did let it slide a bit this time.

It's still a good turnout though so thanks to all those who contributed. Hopefully next year we can all stick to the spirit (and the timekeeping!) of this round, but in the meantime have fun with this one.

I was thinking the same thing over at LA. So many great games still to play in the comp, both classics and loads I've never tried.

But yeah, should be an interesting last round choice...

Yeh Lemon gets to choose which title EAB wins - it's a fair rule that's been in place for some time now

Ah! The thump of the tackle, the quick hands of the centres passing out to the wide speed of the wing.

Actually this game is a really fascinating one. If you pick up the modern Rugby titles like Rugby '15 on the PS it's just not as real as audiogenics masterpiece. And it's got pace too. Really interesting game and highly playable.

I like many sports but rugby & american football I could never get into, mainly because of their stop/start nature. And the fact I have no idea what's going on really does not help

We're now into the final two days of voting, so if anyone hasn't got round to submitting theirs yet, it's best to do it soon.

The scores on the doors at the end of the voting are:

1. Guardian - 19
2. Harlequin - 16
3. Monster Business - 16
4. Star Goose - 14
5= Simulcra - 12
5= Z-Out - 12

Total votes: 13 - Total games voted for: 23

It's still potentially up for grabs between the top three, depending on who wins the current round.

Well, that final round-winning twist from Rinusch has changed the final standings of the voting. For most of that round, Guardian was going finish top, then John's score seemed to secure Harlequin's position in first place. However, that last score submission has seen the voting look like this (the double votes marked with the traditional *)

1. Monster Business - 20*
2. Guardian - 19
3. Z-Out - 17*
4. Harlequin - 16
5. Og! - 15*
