Atari ST Paddle in Amiga???

I have a Atari Paddle controller. If someone don't know what it looks like go to here: http://www.ntrautanen.fi/computers/other/o_muut.htm

It's still in the original package and hardly used never before. The only problem is that on my desktop is sleeping An Amiga not Atari!

I'm very curious to know is it anyway possible to use Paddle with Amiga? I found from an old computer magazine instructions how to change connection with pins 1 & 4 at the end of controller's plug. This particulary article dealed how to fit Atari's mouse to Amiga.

Does anyone have a clue would this work with Paddle also?

No need to swap anything.

Well I briefly looked that link of yours.

You'll certainly need to do something because I have tested the Paddle and it won't work but I must see those diagrams again..

What software are you trying to control with the Paddles?

I have tried controller on several games, like the joystick version of DETONATOR (break out clone). Also I have tested some other joystic-based games and even with mouse controlled games. I have plugged darn thing even on mouse port but the result is always the same: no movement at all, exept slight vibration of cursor when attached to mouse port (serial 1).

Would be great to get it work cause it was absolutely fun to play in arcades ARKANOID with same kind of paddle attached to the console. I even made some kind of record that I never could break with Amiga + mouse -combination of same game..

Games need to support paddles (or analog joystick). Paddle is not a simple mouse or digital joystick replacement, it needs completely different reading routine.

On my.. Now I hear it. So basically Paddle is like a light gun that needs SOFTWARE support from the game itself.

Anyone got a clue does Amiga have any games supporting Paddle?

I doubt there are that many.. Certainly less than for the C-64 or VIC-20.

It would be a magnificent if in HOL would be an additional option in search engine that would categorize all the games depending on which method they are controlled with. You would be able to choose games with mouse, joystick, paddle, light gun etc.
