You dont want either of those, you want a 1Meg upgrade (not a 512k upgrade) to bring the total chip RAM of your A500+ to 2Mbytes.

Remember that A500+ computers have a battery inside them. After 15 years this battery is prone to leaking and destroying the entire motherboard. As soon as you can, open it up and remove the battery.

Usually they are called A501+ or A502

They sell for £17 + postage from Vesalia in Germany

Search for "ramcard amiga 500 plus" and it will come top.

Vesalia are a good company, ship to the UK no problem and they accept pay-pal

its £24.90 excluding postage ill keep a look out for something slightly cheaper

wouldnt it be worth getting a 512k one just so i would have enough ram to move an adf image over?

512k would work fine, and be really cheap compared to a 1MB one.
That's the route I'd take, you're unlikely to be pushing the limits of chip RAM on an otherwise unexpanded A500 anyway, and it would make more sense to use the money towards a hard drive or accelerator with fast RAM if you did want an upgraded machine.
