Anyone succeed in running WipeOut 2097 ???

I'm playing with PPC Setup and trying to run WipeOut 2097...

Juste got the Configuration Windows but can't change anything on it and can't change Screenmode...

Maybe does it require BvisionPPC/Permedia2 Gfx card ???

Is there a way to run it under Picasso96 ?

It require Warp3D I think. Could this be used with Picasso IV since release of version 4 in 2002?

Quote:
This is release 4 of Warp3D, the driver system for 3D hardware on the
Amiga.

Currently, Warp3D supports the following graphics cards:
- CyberVision PPC (Permedia2 based)
- BlizzardVision PPC (Permedia2 based)
- CyberVision 3D (Virge based)
- Voodoo 3 (G-Rex and Prometheus)

Note: This archive does not contain Mediator-enabled drivers. These
are only available at Elbox's website (www.elbox.com)

Warp3D requires 3D hardware to be present. It will not run with
2D-only graphics cards, or AGA/ECS/OCS.

AFAIK, WinUAE (and thus FS-UAE) doesn't support a gfx card capable of hardware 3D acceleration which is required for Warp3D.

I was wrong. See Below.

It looks like I was wrong and you can use this :

or this :

Does anyone know how to install the Wazp3D host-side library on FS-UAE (preferrably on x86-64 Linux)? I can't see any makefile in the archive and the build.sh seems to compile just the guest side...

The source for the host side of both are available.

The Windows host-side of Wazp3D is soft3d.dll for which the source code and the Visual C project file is in the Wazp3D-src directory.
The Windows host-side of QuarkTex is the "alib" file the source is on the GitHub repository.

Neither look like it is platform independent at the moment.

It requires Warp3DPPC so replacing Warp3d.lib (68K) wont do a thing for the game.

>PPC Setup and trying to run WipeOut 2097...
Wazp3D 68k will not works nor Quarktex as it need the "68k to native x86 interface" that is broken in current WinUAE
Same applys for other UAEs (linux,etc..) : they dont (I think) have the "native interface" so soft3D.dll will never works

Wazp3D.library-ppc works but only in "renderer: soft ppc to bitmap" mode
see:
http://thellier.free.fr/winuaeppc.jpg
>It requires Warp3DPPC
Yes you also need a real Warp3DPPC.library from a (say) Sam440

Then perhaps (????) it will (sloooowwwwly) works
(WipeOut works this way with Wazp3D on Sam440)

No, not without reworking it slightly and recompiling. But I did finish the new uaenative.library (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?...6&postcount=44) and it is available in both WinUAE and FS-UAE for all platforms. Here's some example code: https://github.com/FrodeSolheim/uni-sdk (Note: uaenative.interface is an "m68k library")

The new uaenative.library hasn't really had any real-world testing yet, and as far as I know isn't really used yet except by example code. But I'll be happy to assist with better documentation and help if you want to port to the new native interface

I am trying around for days getting this to run, but so far I haven't even managed to get PPC emulation to work right. Someone made a video on Youtube showing Wipeout run in an emulator, so it's obviously possible. Would anyone who got it to work here be willing to maybe share his config file and or installation with me - and maybe tell me step by step what I need to set up (in regard to Workbench version, 3D etc)?
