Cool -So the affect is just done by the letters moving about nothing more -
Still calculating the letters moving location must be a bit tricky.

The exact calculation is:

x = column*12 + 25*sin(xphase + xdelta1*column + xdelta2*row)
y =    row*12 + 25*sin(yphase + ydelta1*column + ydelta2*row)

The phase values animate the page between frames, and the delta values are constant for each page and decide the overall curvature of the page. Lower values make a more smooth and flattened page.
