Big grin Check this out

Hi peeps. just want a quick opinion on a system that i've recently bought. the question is have i been ripped off?

lets see...

Going by recent Ebay prices.

A1200 = £45
Ram Card = £50
Midi = £10
SCART cable = £10
HDD = £5 max
All other bits = £10

£130 if all bought separately.

You did OK. The HDD will need replacing with something bigger (I suggest a 4GB CF card and IDE adapter - £10 - £15 delivered)

*edit* btw i've just ordered both things suggested by scrappysphinx in the bay thread, so the new cf hdd tots up to a grand... wait for it... £8! then theres the figuring out of how to get whdload onto it. one step at a time eh. anyhoo cant wait to get to manchester this weekend, the amiga shall be waiting for weekend gameage

Yup I have bought them for less and sold them for more...

A quick scan of ebay and I have to say £65 seems more realistic.

Personally, once you get the CF card and adapter, I would just install ClassicWB.

Would save you a lot of time and would give you an excellent starting foundation. Plus WHDLoad is already installed and configured plus many other applications.


Its the mutt's nuts (as you UK'ers would say).

i got my 2nd A1200 for 30 euros (+ it has an overdrive from archos given with it).

depends mainly on the ability to find good bargains !
