EAB/Lemon Super League 2017: Round 14 - Mystery Round Nominations

EAB/Lemon Super League 2017: Round 14 - Mystery Round Nominations
Starts: 00:01 September 24 Finishes: 23:59 October 13

Welcome to the second Mystery Round of the season. In it, players will select two games (plus one as backup) they wish to include on the voting list for Round 14, and will PM one of the moderators with their choice. The full list of games will then be unveiled when Round 14 voting proper gets underway, with only games on that list eligible to be chosen.

Rules

- Only players who have submitted at least one score this season between the start of Round 8 and the closing date of this thread are allowed to make their nominations.

- Pick two games you are not very familiar with that can also be scored in a suitable manner for the competition, plus one backup choice just in case one proves not to be suitable, or one of your choices gets voted in for Round 13, in which case the backup will take the original game's place.

- PM one of the competition's moderators with your selections. They can't be changed after submission, and games can't be chosen from the list below. Do not tell anyone else your vote or post it here!

- When Round 14 voting starts, only nominated games can be voted for in the usual manner.

Here's an easy at-a-glance guide to tell who's currently eligible to nominate games:

If you want to take part in this monumental Amiga gaming event but your name isn't here, then pop over to the F1GP and/or Lotus 1 threads nearby, submit a score and you're then permitted to contribute.

I think its only fair to point out the theory behind this thread once again. When we ask for mystery games, "we are looking for a game you have ideally never even played before. Although you are allowed to have played it once to check it out, or only a few times a long time ago." This is how I wrote the rule but it doesn't translate very well into a 4 word catchphrase.

The spirit of the round is that it is a mystery, not only to you, but also to everyone (hopefully), so that there can be no advantages or advanced knowledge, and no way to predict or influence the outcome. So its a complete mystery until the votes are counted, and throughout the round for everyone.

So for example, you wouldnt vote for Sensible Soccer, Speedball 2, Mega Lo Mania or Cannon Fodder, as those are internationally acclaimed super hit classic games, and not really what I'd call a 'mystery'.

This round requires some research, looking in databases - HOL, Lemon, magazine rack, EAB File Server etc, to find something which looks good but you've never even heard of it, or hardly anyway.

Just today and tomorrow left to get your nominations in, if you haven't already. We've had a few more come in so things aren't looking too bad, but still below the levels of previous Mystery Rounds. So please have a think and send a PM before the deadine, if you haven't done so already
