Docs on writing a handler

I would like to write a handler for the Amiga which is handling an LPT port filesystem to another computer (another Amiga or PC with UNIX). I already wrote an LPT file transmitter (Amiga<->PC) for myself, so i have no problems with the LPT communication, but i do have with writing the handler itself.

I've been studying the sources of the AmberRAM handler and i've been looking for other docs about how to write a basic Amiga handler.

So, if there would be any tutorials on this topic, i would be grateful if someone would link it...

Gee, thanks. I would never thought of that. You have any other brilliant suggestion, like Google for example?

There is source code of at least one handler on Aminet did you check?
You can ask also Thomas Richter (Thor). Maybe worth to check the Amiga guru book.

Yes i did. I told in the opening post, that i have the AmberRAM handler's source, but it would be more easy to learn from it, if i would have some tutorial about handlermaking.

This Amiga GURU book? Is it available somewhere on the net in digital format? I don't speak German, so i have to use Google translate if i want to read it.

Where can i find Thor? My quick search about him suggests that he has been retired from Amiga related development.

He's active on A1K, Amiga.org and possibly other forums, too.
