AmiWolf V1.18 vs V1.21

Hi,

I saw Amiwolf V1.18 in the zone. Since this is an older version than the one on aminet (V1.21) I decided to download it and give it a go.

The problem I have with V1.21 is that when I move my mouse the screen jumps several pixels. Like the mouse is oversensitive. The sensitivity setting is already at its slowest.

It appears V1.18 does not have this problem at all. It runs perfectly smooth (as smooth as I can expect from my 030).

For fun I tried the ECS v1.21 too. But it has the same problem.
Two questions:
1) What has been "improved" from v1.18 to v1.21? It appears v1.18 is the superior version.

2) Can anyone zone the ECS v1.18 as I'd like to try this on my ECS machine too?

Thanks!

Thanks. I downloaded it. It works great in a tiny view on my 020 a600 It appears to be much smoother in comparison to 1.21. But I better play the aga version on my 1200.

I think version 1.21 was meant to make the mouse movement smoother on all machines but it sounds like it actually made it worse for slower machines

It certainly made it smoother on faster machines (060).

Maybe that feature should be switchable via tooltypes or something. Well, I'm happy with 1.18 it seems to work on my A1200 030 quite nicely. Even the performance on my A600 with ACA620 seems to be something I would have played as a kid :-). Great work on the port!

Thanks, I did my best to get it to run as fast as possible on slower machines

I have finally got around to fixing this mouse issue (see AmiWolf RTG BETA), I'll update the old AGA/ECS builds with the fix.

Update v1.24 released to AmiNet, all fixed up and ready to go
