It's probably worth pointing out that the screen you need to take a screenshot of is the one below. When you complete a difficulty level, you do get several different screens at the end, but only the final one actually says both your score and the difficulty.
This was actually more difficult that I thought. After you soup up your car and can afford a few weapons it's easy, but fighting through those first few tracks with a slow car and limited ammo is quite tough. Easy: 35 Medium: 0 Hard: 0 |

How are people recording their fastest time on any track? I dare say many people will peak at the maximum score here.

Could someone write a little program which would show the times from the saved hiscore file (SuperCars2.highs in whdload version at least)? Although the hard level needs much more work than the two first levels to win all the races... it's looked that hiscores haven't peaked recently in the compo, so who knows if many people will get to the perfect score anyway |

Hmmm, I hadn't considered that. The lap time appears on the screen for about 8-10 seconds after you complete the race and then disappears. That's easy enough for someone emulating to take a screenshot but tricky for a hardware player.
If you fail to capture it, and it's a personal record, it will reappear the next time the track loads as your fastest time and it will stay on the screen for a while longer. We can verify these times were set in the comp if people use something distinct (such as 'EAB') in their names because their names appear next to the records (see screenshot) However, I think in reality it might not be that big an issue, unless you have a very slow camera. I think we are all going to work out quite quickly which are the fastest tracks. And for those who have reached 105 points, to set tie-breaking times we will probably play those tracks over and over trying to beat those times. If you have your camera ready, you've probably got 12 seconds or so from the second you cross the line to take the picture, and if you are really finding this difficult, you can press 'p' to pause the game just before you finish the final lap and get your camera ready. I think this problem is surmountable. It's not ideal, but I'm just trying to think of a way to break ties here. Last edited by capehorn; 18 August 2016 at 19:47. |

Easy: 35
Medium: 35 Hard: 35 Total: 105 My fastest time is 1:30.0, I set it yesterday on an easy level hence why the name isn't CapehornEAB (as I suggested above). I'll retract the screenshot and try to post another time if anyone thinks this is a problem. |

Yeah, I did clear all previous scores/times by renaming the save file, and then I also have added year (16) after my nickname for this round.
It takes 10-15 seconds for me to get the photo taken with my camera... turning it on, removing the flash from use, and focus/shoot. If I don't make any mistakes... and if the camera decides to start reducing the red-eye effect, then it takes longer I could try to find if I can save some settings to camera so that it wouldn't do those extra steps... but anyway, there are couple different ways to get the times as you mentioned. |

Easy - 27
Medium - 23 Watch out guys.. I'm setting the bar to blistering heights with this score. Guess I'll try and form a better upgrade path or something later, as it feels like maxing out the engine is actually detrimental to your chance of winning. Then again I could be just crap.. I wouldn't know as I used to load this for the title music only Btw first screenshot was taken a bit early as I wasn't sure how many there would be. |

I dont think it is giving too much away to say this is exactly true. In order to beat the game you have to take the upgrades in steps and go the slowest way possible. Too fast = too many bumps = too slow. And Too fast = messing up the jumps = exploding = too slow.

@lifeschool: My own upgrade technique is quote different to this. I upgrade differently according to the tracks coming up. Easy, hard and medium each have a different upgrade path for me, half of the choice is down to price.

And when it comes down to price, it is random. So fingers crossed you get good prices for buy and sell.

Hello guys, since I love this game I couldn't help but join in the competition!
Here my scores: Easy: 35 Medium: 35 Hard: 35 Total: 105 My fastest time is 1:32.8 (I'll take a picture as soon as possible) I don't know if I will be able to improve my fastest time in the first race of the easy level but if I have some spare time I'll certainly try to do so. UPDATE: Here the picture of my fastest lap on first race of easy level Last edited by liviux76; 27 August 2016 at 09:16. |

If enemy cars get bumped and take a short cut, they end up taking the lead. Happened to me on the 1st level of Hard. Oh well..
And.. you have to be mega randomly lucky with shop prices. after the 1st race on Hard I managed to upgrade armour, ram & engine to 3. other times, it can take up to level 3 or 4 to max out. Last edited by ransom1122; 26 August 2016 at 06:50. |

Shop prices can help you if you buy a stock of "something" very cheap and sell it after one or two races for a much higher price. With some luck you can have a big arsenal of "homer missiles" very useful especially in the 4th (the opponents are quite fast) and 6th race. Just a small tip... on the hard level buy the armor as soon as you can but don't buy the third engine just after the first race, it will complicate the 5 jumps in a row you have to do. If you can, buy the third engine after the second race and, in any case, before the 4th race. Good luck! Last edited by liviux76; 26 August 2016 at 09:28. |
