Thanks to Daniel Jameson for contributing this feature to the FlashFloppy Open Source codebase.

Features and improvements are always welcome!
Which config files we use for these? Or we just throw some images and they are automatically arranged to gotek's slots?

They'll work just like any other supported image file. So yes, you can just put images on a stick and they will be selectable (in 'fatfs directory order').

v0.9.4a
https://github.com/keirf/FlashFloppy/wiki/Downloads

- Out-of-the-box (no config) support for diymore.cc OLED displays
- No need for third button to eject/insert (FF.CFG: twobutton-action=eject)

Hi All

I picked up a secondhand a500 with a gotek and cortex firmware (it works with cortex selector and displays H-C.

I have tried every method I can find of flashing it, serial connect won't connect. Usb to Usb appears to work but the firmware is left unchanged and verification fails.

Is there anyway to protect against flashing that I should be looking for?

Did you set the jumper to allow flashing?

I flashed more than ten Goteks, and some of them are hmm... different than others. I mean some Goteks needs to be reset after You connect to the computer for programming. I don't know why it happens, but now I have two identical Goteks, and one of them needs reset every time I connect him, and the other don't need reset at all.

So try to connect, then reset by short proper reset pins, and after reset try to flash firmware.

That´s correct. My Gotek needs to be reset before any firmware programming. Otherwise it isn´t properly detected and fails to connect to the firmware utility.

It's correct behavior. I have no more ideas what's wrong in this case. Eventually try to check if all cables have good and stable solid connection.

Yes, at least when you use serial flashing, the STM32 software will allow you to disable the protection.

The problem if the serial doesn't show your Gotek is different. Usually shorting the reset pin, plugging it in, leave it like that for a few seconds, unplug it then retry, will solve this.

I am told that sometimes you need to add pullups to the Tx and Rx serial lines. If having ongoing problems then worth trying that.

had lots of problems with USB programmer and my Windows 10, ditched that and used USB to USB cable (plus Dfuse Demo) instead, worked like charm!

I converted my old Goteks with Cortex to FF with OLED display. It's a nice upgrade, and more stable and now supports ST, etc. Very nice!
