In the CD32 user defined controls, set SHOOT and LIGHTNING to be on the same button. If Auto-Fire is on, it will shoot whilst moving, and lightning whilst still. If Auto-Fire is off, it will work as the original where you have to hold the button for lightning, or tap it for shoot. These seem like terrible ways to play the game to me, and the second option in particular is completely unplayable when you try to jump. I've also redone the intro to be more like the Amiga original (which had lots of text pauses) and less like the PC original (which had no pauses) |

Muzza, you are amazing! I was hoping a new version with the saves sorted might be released in time for tonight's Friday Night Gaming and you delivered.
Thank you so much for all of this. I will start playing/testing tonight. |

Found something interesting.
It´s not the game that produces that glitches in the Flying Stages on the MIST FPGA, It´s the WHDload slave. Tried the "CD32 Version" for the first time today on the MIST and everything is fine. Ok, there is some garbage on the screen befor the screen about the Fan Remake comes up, but other than that it´s A Ok ![]() Then i tried the "WHDLoad version" and the flying stages had the same glitches like always. This time it got really weird. A bit into the level and i shot the whole time Lines instead of a Laser/spread or "balls". ![]() ; And if i used the Lines, there where none but the counter for them went down. Only happend in the WHDload variant. Really weird So i will play the "one file version". ![]() The odd thing is, the CD32 AmigaGame.exe works fine ! The AmigaGame.exe from the WHDload folder crashes immediately. A one file exe like the Cd32 with the options like the File version would be super sweet. (so that the highscores and options are saved) A exit would be the best, so there would be no need for that WHDLoad slave in the first place ![]() Ohhh, and i never thought i would miss the Overpowered Turrican, ![]() you know, the one that can have multiple Lasers on screen . Now its more accurate to the original, but i really miss the OP Turri. That was so fun ![]() Would you bring that back, maybe as an option ? ![]() (i know, this sounds dumb, but i really miss it now ![]() I would play the 1.1 version but there is no CD32/one file 1.1 version, right ? Sorry Muzza, for that WALL of text. I hope you forgive me for that ![]() Last edited by Torti-the-Smurf; 03 February 2023 at 21:33. Reason: better text formation, i hope ;) |

Sorry, to write even more
![]() But i played now through the one file version (cd32) and i had the "Shooting lines instead of the normal shot" problem again. Ca. 20 seconds into the first flying stage a Line was fired without my input and after that, only lines came out on the normal shot. They did not countdown from the lines counter, they where endless. When using the line button (2nd button) nothing came out but the counter went down. Curious to see if and how many people will encounter this. Sorry again for that WALL OF TEXT... ![]() |

Same Setup as usual. MIST FPGA with the same Core as always.
This never happend before and i played 1.0 & 1.1 numerous times. ![]() Did some testing with the new 1.15 version today; (thats why there is so much text above...sorry) and it happend in the Whdload file version and later in my now prefered One File (CD32) version. Prefered, because i can run it without the slave and dont get any more graphical glitches in the flying stange, because of that. A really odd "glitch". Maybe it has something to do with the changed shooting behaviour ? (just a wild guess) Really odd. |

OK I found it. Pretty major bug. Basically if you have the bounce weapon in the spaceship levels it will shoot powerlines instead of balls. And the smoke will be broken, and maybe even corrupt memory. I'll get a new version out soon.
